I’ve redesigned my website—again! It seems to be an ongoing side project for me, but I don’t want it to get in the way of designing other things.
I’ve realised I want to stop trying to always post finished pieces of work, and post works in progress too, although training my brain to get over this hump might be difficult. My main issue is that I create little side projects for myself all the time, but I rarely get them to a point where I could call them ‘finished’. Time is such an enemy for me at the moment! During one of my lunch hours at work recently I discovered the book Show Your Work! by Austin Kleon and it has motivated me to showcase things a bit more, even if it’s only the process or my thoughts that I want to present.
I make no attempts to disguise the fact that it’s quite plainly a WordPress site; I love WordPress.
Bootstrap has been fun (and great) to use – I think I prefer it to Foundation – and I’m getting more and more familiar with Git now too.
All in all, I’ve learnt loads!
